Kenny Vs Spenny
A few years ago there was this little show on CBC called Kenny Vs. Spenny... I was going nuts for it, but it only lasted, maybe, a 1/2 dozen episodes. The CBC was trying to aim it at the kids market and it bombed horribly. I mean, how bad does the rating have to be for the CBC to cancel a show after 6 or so episodes?
So anyway... It's back, and it's back on Showcase.. Cable, where they can do ANYTHING.
So here' what the show is about... it's very simple... 2 best friends have a competition each week (the 2 friends being Kenny and Spenny)and who ever looses has to do something extremely humiliating or embarrassing in public.
Sounds boring? Here's a few of the competitions they've had....
Who can stay awake the longest?
Who can stand up the longest?
Who can sit on a cow the longest?
Who is the sanest?
Who can earn the most money in three days?
Who can stay blindfolded the longest?
Who can win a beauty pageant?
Who can lose the most weight in 72 hours?
Who can stay handcuffed the longest?
Who do kids like most?
Who makes the most convincing woman?
Who is the best male stripper?
Who will use their arms first?
Who can survive in the woods the longest?
Who can live in a van the longest?
Who can drink more beer?
Who can stay naked longest?
Who do old people like more?
Who can dance the longest?
First one to talk loses?
Who can sell more bibles?
Get the idea... it's just crazy silly stuff... and both Kenny and Spenny TRY to cheat without getting caught (get caught cheating and you lose) and try to sabotage each others plans. Great example would be the "Who's Funnier" episode, it's pretty typical. Spenny works on a stand up routine, while Kenny pulls a well planed prank on Spenny and actually convinces Spenny that he probably has HIV. Spenny breaks down mentally and can't write a joke to save his life, cries, spends time going to the Dr etc, while Kenny makes fun of him behind his back and gets it all on film. In the end Kenny wins, Spenny destroys all Kenny's clothes with a butcher knife and Spenny has to preform oral sex on a HUGE cucumber on national TV.
It's great fun, worth wasting a 1/2 hour of your life for cause you'll be laughing the entire time.
