2005

So last post was about resolutions... Time to size up what I was able to accomplish in 2005...

I know this is boring shit, but if it's on line and others are going to see it, it will help me stick to these goals! And it might help inspire one more person!

Started 2005 at around 200 lbs and I was still pretty chunky even after my 80 lbs lost at that point.
Aimed to have a 6 pack by summer.
I was able to drop down to 175lbs, around 8% body fat and have a solid 6 pack and ended up being featured on Bodybuilding.com!
Aiming this year to have another solid 6 pack this summer.

Started 2005 benching 2 x 75lbs dumbbells for 6-8 reps.
Aimed to bench 2 x 100lbs dumbbell by the end of the year for at least 1 rep.
I was able to bench 2 x 97.5lbs dumbbells for 5 reps for 5 straight sets. 2 x 100lbs? Don't tell my wife (because it's a safety issue) but I was able to do it. Mind you I did have to gain about 25 lbs of body weight from my summer weight to get enough muscle on me to be able to do it, but I did it.
Aiming to... I don't know... I need something for the safety issues involved in working out alone and having 100 lbs in each hand suspended over my body... Have to think about this one...

Started 2005 with the longest endurance run I had ever done was 16 minutes at 7 mph. (Just under 3k)
Aimed to be able to at least jog to the end of 5k.
I was able to maintain a speed of 7mph for over 40 minutes to a distance of 6 1/2 km!
Aiming to do a 5k race for charity and to personally be able to run 10k non-stop.

Started 2005 being able to do 5 pull ups per set.
Aimed for 25 pull ups.
I was able to do 4 sets of 10 reps with 25 lbs strapped around my waist when I was 175-180lbs, but now that I'm back up to 205 I'm only doing 10 reps max. Kinda bombed on this one!
Aiming to be able to do my 25!

Started 2005 with 50 being the most push ups I have ever done in my life.
Aimed for 75, and after summer aimed for 100 consecutive.
I was able to finally hit 100 consecutive push ups a few weeks ago! I still can't believe that one!
Aiming to do 100 push ups at least once a week.

Like I said, maybe these being up here will help motivate someone else... With drive and determination, I can do anything, you can do anything, we all can do anything! Now get off your ass!

Gratuitous hot chick
