Fluffy Bunny

Back in high school I was a HUGE Monty Python, Corky and the Juice Pigs, and Violent Femmes fan... (Well, along with all the metal, blues, folk and other shit I was listening to... it was a weird mix... add alcohol and stir) Add to the equation another like minded soul and a emerging talent at playing guitar and you have the makings of a great punk band with a sense of humor. Well, that's not exactly what happened, and not exactly what the results where... but the results were entertaining to say the least...

I give you FLUFFY BUNNY!

We started with a song called "Henri The Incisor" and started recording a song every couple of weeks. To call it raw is an understatement. It was all recorded using a simple handheld stereo, and crappy guitar and a lot of improvisation. By the end we were even using a piano, what rebels!

Honestly we both had quite a corky sense of humor and started recording this stuff just off the cuff, making it up as we went along. I wish I had left the recorder going all the time and had the hours and hours of tapes of us just laughing, being silly and crying we were laughing so hard... it was such innocent fun. We even branched out and dubbed an entire movie once. This was way back in 1988 before we had ever heard of anyone doing anything like this. Some where I have a BETA tape of the entire Empire Strikes back dubbed by us two idiots... It's fuckin hilarious.

My buddy moved away, I ended up on the wrong side of life and it was mostly forgotten... Then about 4 years ago mp3.com popped up. I threw the songs up on the site just for fun, just so people could hear them. I ended up getting a series of surprising emails. It turned out these songs, in their crappy recorded state, had travelled from university campus to university campus all over the place. There were emails from people all over the world coming in saying they remembered this crap! There were even a few email from people who had seen copies of the video tape!

So anyway here's a couple for your listening pleasure.... They are about 18 years old, very silly and might not be funny to anyone but the people who knew us at the time... But... here are 2 of them. (Both are safe downloads... well, they might not be safe on your ears or sense of humor)
