American Idol - Part 25416541
So last night Ace got voted off... OK, I'm not an Ace fan, but he was far from the worst singer this week. Almost every week he's not been that great and had to go home at some point but this week he was pretty damn good and got sent home, which I don't understand, while Kelly has stunk the place up for a few weeks now. This week she really stunk, she even admitted it right after her performance... and she didn't even end up in the bottom 3. What's up with that?
So I had to do a little research.
What I found was this web site. Vote For The Worst.com Their whole game is to get people to vote for the worst contestant and try to throw everything off to show what a farce the whole show really is. Through their website, their myspace site and their network of friends, they vote like crazy every Tuesday night for the 2 hours the voting is allowed. They started around season 3 and have grown in voting power and members ever since.
They have also dug up some interesting stuff on the worst contestants in the past and have done the same for good ol' Kellie Pickler. These aren't gossip or rumours, just some of her past the show doesn't want to bring up because she's playing the role of the dumb blond who has never sung before. "I've only sang in the shower before". Bullshit.
-Kellie won her first beauty contest at age 17
-After that she ran for Miss North Carolina
-In both contests her talent was singing and she's also had extensive and expensive dance lessons (who would guess from her sad dancing on the show?)
-Then she competed in the North Carolina version of American Idol called "Gimme The Mike" and came in 2nd place. She was all over the TV in North Carolina because of this one.
-When she won the 2004 Miss Stanly County Pageant Crown “Her platform (in the pageant) was you don’t have to be a product of your environment.” Does that sound like dumb blond Kellie? Could the girl she's playing on TV even say "environment"?
-When she won Miss Stanly County she got scholarship money, endorsements and advertising spots. Hardly Miss poor ol' me, I have nothing.
-For country night Kellie flew her hairdresser in from home town. Her hair dresser's normal rate is $300 an hour, and she pretends she's poor white trash? That's her normal hairdresser's rates? Who can afford that?
