Motley Crue Part 2
Bummer nothing but nose bleed seats left... No fuckin way I'm gonna pay $73 each for me and my wife ($146) to squint all night. 6 hours to the concert... I'm bummed,
Ya know.... Once the stage is up they usually check and see if they can open any more sections... I should just take a quick look on line.
HOLY FUCK SECTIONS 23, 24, 7 AND 6 JUST OPENED UP!
Last minute tickets and we end up less than 10 rows up! We're right beside Nikki's side of the stage. We can see everything. (We could have spit on them if we wanted too we were so close) We were the green dot on the seating map below!
It rocked... Naw, It RAWKED!
Tight security made for a long slow line, but no complaints. I've waited a lot longer and in worst weather for other concerts. They made sure the show didn't start till everyone was in and settled, and we got to listen to Back In Black for 45 minutes while we waited.
Tommy Lee- Tommy played front man most the evening, working the crowd up time after time, even passing out a couple of bottles of booze. And of course the titty cam came out. What's with the chicks that wouldn't show their tits? You are at a fucking Motley Crue concert! Get real, have some fun.
And the drum solo. Flying around on a harness playing 2 suspended mini kits and doing his club thing was really cool. Honestly as soon as the club music started I almost headed to the bathroom, but Tommy Motley'ed it up and blew me away.
Tommy blew me away, best showman of the night by far.
Vince Neil- This was an awesome show for Vince. I never expected him to perform as much as he did. I mean, Vince has been pretty notorious for the past 20 years for only singing every 4th word and get him on a drunk night and it goes downhill from there. He sang great, and a lot. If he could honestly clean his act up and start caring about his own life he'd kill every night. I can't believe we got him on a great night... awesome.
Mick Mars- I feel really bad for Mick. He looks 100 and moves like he's 400 and has lost about 1/2 foot of his height. I think his disease is really getting to him and I'll be surprised if we see a Crue with Mick as a part of it much longer. No Eddie VanHalen or Steve Vai, but he never was. He sounded as good as 20 years ago even if he moved around a lot less, but then again, he never was able to move that much anyway.
Nikki Sixx- Nikki was Nikki, all show. But then again he created the whole monster so that's what we expect. He's become THE icon for LA Metal bands that broke in the 80's and he lived up to that all night. I love the new makeup thing too. I'll have to watch his site and see if any local pictures or stories pop up.
Lots of pyro, half naked evil lesbians, evil clowns, explosions, fire, volume, motorcycles, tits, blood, booze, technical difficulties, smoke, fireworks, songs we grew up with, new shit and a circus tent... what else could one want? Ya, I know.... more nudity, but that's why Vince was having the wet T-shit contest at the marquee afterwards.
I don't know what else to say, I could start going into details and then this post would turn into 100 pages real quick... Suffice to say.... THEY FUCKIN ROCKED
