I'm An Idiot --- Edition #3463757
Well, it's down to the last few days before the "weight in"/"measure in" for this months competition and I'm crapping my pants. Who can lose the most body fat? I started at 14.5% and am probably still right there, if not up a bit. CRAP!
I was able to loose the beard when I dropped down below 200lbs, but since then I've just sort of stalled at 198lbs. I don't know if "stalled" is really the right word.... maybe "just got fuckin lazy" would be a better way to describe it.
I haven't been doing any cardio, other than a good run this weekend, I haven't really cut my cals that much, I've been averaging around 2500 calories (200-250 grams of protein) a day and I know with my thyroid condition that I really have to drop down to around 1700-1800 clean calories to start loosing weight. My cheats have turned into entire weekend festivals. Sure, I'm eating clean and lifting everyday, but I know that's not enough for my metabolism.
So it's time for drastic measures! It'll probably be too little, too late, but I'm gonna try to cut my cals back drastically for the next 4 days. Nothing but protein. Throw some cardio in the mix, twice a day if I can squeeze it in. I'll actually be surprised if I have enough energy to do much cardio without any carbs in my diet, but I'm gonna try.
Now before you all start emailing me and leaving comments as to what an idiot I am doing this... It's only 4 days and I've done it before. I might loose a little strength, but in 4 days how much? Almost insignificant. I'll bounce back in a week. My body reacts quite drastically to low/no carbs, so I might make some headway an drop a few BF% points. Actually a lot of thyroid sufferers I talk to seem to say the same thing.
So do I stand a snowballs chance in hell of winning.... AHHHHH..... NO. But I might be able to save face and drop a few points and at least come in a little lower than my initial body fat reading..
