So, our Canadian election was just a few days ago and everyone is still looking for the right publicity shot. That picture that will tell the Canadian public "I'm OK". Harper is trying the hardest to get a good shot of course, seeing how he's the new Prime Minister and about as popular as Ebola with most of the country. He "triumphantly destroyed" Martin's minority government and ended up creating an even smaller minority government for himself. (I blame the NDP for the whole mess, and don't even get me started on the Bloc!)
So anyway, Harper thought dropping his kids off at school would make a great PR shot, show that he was a family man that cared about his kids and was just like every other Canadian taking their kids to school in the morning. He claims he does this everyday... but I wonder.... Anyways, the comedy comes into play when he shakes their hands as he drops them off. These aren't teenagers, these are 2 kids under the age of 10 (7 and 9 actually) and here's daddy walking them to school and shaking their hands like he's trying to get their vote. It's fuckin hilarious.
I care enough to take my kids to school everyday... but no gosh darn way am I gonna hug them or even... heaven forbid... kiss them!
Then I check the news today and our new leader was in the hospital because he just had an asthma attack. Don't get me wrong, I know how serious asthma can be from family and friends... But you've got to admit, you look at world leaders with all kinds of diseases they have to overcome... then you look at Canada and our new leader suffers from asthma... Do I have to say anymore?

If your Prime Minister is not popular with "most of" the country - as you say, then how did he get elected? I think you are blindly speaking for the popular vote without their approval - comments like this make you appear ignorant.
Split the vote between 4 parties and no one elected is ever "THAT" popular in Canada... only 36% of the population voted for him. 63% of the country thought someone else would do a better job...
