Bryan Adams Secret Past
As a music buff, I thought I had heard and seen it all, till last week! Does this guy look familiar???
In case your sight isn't that great, it's a very young 17/18 year old Bryan Adams.
Around 1976 the Canadian one hit wonder Sweeney Todd, famous for their song Roxy Roller (actually a pretty cool tune!) lost their singer to promises of better things with a solo career and had to find a replacement singer ASAP... enter stage left... Bryan Adams' first big break. The band actually re-recorded their hit Roxy Roller and re-released it with Adams singing it. It's not the version you'd ever hear anywhere today... but... it CAN be heard right HERE It's amazing how you can hear it is Bryan, but how much his voice changed by the time he made it on his own.
Adams is known as a pretty nice guy I guess, but don't bring this stuff up around him, it's the one thing he will walk out on an interviewer about. Why I don't really understand. So he was young, so he got to see and tour Canada at the age of 17 with a one hit wonder. Why try to hide it? Everyone looked stupid in the 70's. Sex, drugs, rock n' roll in a glam hard rock band in the mid-70's was like every school boy's dream... why deny Bryan... You got to live it man!
