A Couple Quick Movie Reviews
Seen a few flicks lately and here's a few thoughts...
Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy- I was a HUGE fan of the old BBC TV series when I was a kid and a HUGE'ER fan of Adams' books... The first 30 minutes where pretty good and showed tons of potential (and Zaphod's personality was awesome, just prefect)... then things basically when to shit... through shit-ville ... down to crap ass lane... through vomit city... before ending at a pile of various human waste products. End of review.
Constantine- Churchy McChurch got to make his own movie, added 3 swear words to add some "edge" and got Keaun Reeves to walk through this flick. Horrible is an understatement. Reeves sucks, the story line sucks, non-church goers don't give a fuck and church goers (from what I can find on-line) where pretty fuckin offended... One of the worst scenes in history- Reeves giving the devil the finger as he heads for the pearly gates after committing suicide for the second time but now being saved by god because his second suicide was to save the world from the angel Gabriel's evil plan... did you follow that?... Utter crap!... Oh, and it TOTALLY BOMBED at the box office, lost tons of money... so why does Blockbuster have 600 copies????
Se7en- I always liked this movie and watching it again last week it still is a brilliant movie... Only all these years later Pitt's hair and beard look pretty dated. It was interesting to watch him act in this though, as an actor he's come so far over the years. Too bad Morgan Freeman has been so type cast into the roll he plays in this movie.. yes, he was great, but let the guy do other roles once in a while.
Batman Begins- I've been a huge Batman fan forever and was really worried about seeing this... Turns out they FINALLY made a superhero movie right. I kept waiting the whole movie for them to fuck it up... but they never did. First class actors and no campy scenes, everyone played it beyond straight. They played it as a serious film. Simply put, it fuckin rocked like no other superhero movie before or since. If you are a Batman fan and remember what the comic books etc where really like you'll LOVE this. I really don't know what to say about this one, as a Batman fan, I'm still in afterglow.
