The Ultimate Fighter 2- Episode 1
So the new season of the Ultimate Fighter has started... The Ultimate Fighter 2. This time around Dana chose to have heavy weights and welter weights. Much like last season they are starting with 18 fighters and working their way down by elimination to one heavy and one welter weight that will get a contract with the UFC.
It's really way to early to judge the skill of the fighters, we haven't seen anybody fight! And it's too early to know what any of their personalities are really like cause we've only seen maybe 10 minutes max of any of them. BUT....
Luke is a freak! Watching him talk to the camera is like pulling teeth. I don't think he's dumb, he just one of these loopy spiritual, health food, organic, love the planet guys. Had to sleep with his head facing north, eats unbelievably weird shit, and does wall squats ALL DAY as meditation. You have to see and hear this guy to believe it... You'd never guess he was a fighter.... I think he has potential. (Franklin thought he was this season's Deigo)
Jorge is the mouthpiece. I get the impression he was in front of the cameras all the time and wants to be. Every 2 minutes he has a comment about something. He seems pretty cool though and I agree with what he says most of the time.
As for the others... really no first impressions... BUT AS A GROUP.... well, let me put it this way, Dana tore a strip off them at the end of the show.
One left due to an injury (I felt bad for him, right away I thought he was going to be a beast), one left because he couldn't stand being on camera 24/7, (or was that just a good excuse?) and one left cause he couldn't cut weight, none of the welter weights are at their fight weight, (one guy is at 194 and to make weight at welter is 170) and according to Dana (while ripping them a new one) none of them come close to the contestants they had on last years show.
There has to be tons of potential there, I mean these guys beat out 1000's of applicants. Guys who got turned down must be loosing their minds watching a lot of these guys wine. You have the opportunity of a lift time, DON"T FUCKIN WINE ABOUT IT!
