The Ultimate Fighter 2- Episode 4

Crap ass episode...

I HATE all this secret alliance, planning, scheming bullshit... just fight for Christ's sake! These guys are supposed to be tough, bad motherfuckers but when they are spending all their free time playing politics so they get the easiest fight they can you have to question their heart and confidence. I have to say a few of the heavy weights have said "I'll fight who ever you put in front of me" and I think that should really be everyone's attitude.

So this week's fight was Marcus Davis vs Joe Stevenson...

Welcome to even more politics.... Matt (this being the Matt Hughes show of course) said he would never let it happen... Like I said last week... this is not the Matt Hughes show and you are not competing (and lay off plying with the other teams fighters minds, picking on Jorge is so weak for a coach and pro just to throw him off)... Even Dana got involved and tried to change their minds.... Rich took it for what it was... It's the competitors that have everything on the line, it's the competitors that win or loose, it's the competitors lives let them compete and do what they want to do! If the 2 toughest guys want to fight let them... It's their competition!

So back to the fight... The stand up guy vs the grappler. I never understand why these boxers get into MMA. Sure they like to fight but they are always at a huge disadvantage. They are too weary of a take down to get in close and use their boxing skills and once on the ground they are screwed. And then you get a guy like Marcus who is a REALLY GOOD boxer and who in their right mind is going to try to stand with him?

So round one... starts slow as Marcus tries to box (but keeps his distance in fear of a take down) then Rob get a hold of him, carries him across the cage and slams him down... you so know it's all over right there.... Rob punishes Marcus for the rest of the round til he taps out. I can't believe the punishment Marcus took before tapping out though, most guys would have tapped out long before.

Marcus goes home... (BTW- What the fuck was up with Marcus and the kilt? Both my wife and I have some Irish heritage and we'd never heard of Irish wearing kilts... Scottish yes, Irish?? never heard of it)
